Ford E350

I have a 2009 Ford E350 and I would like to my 31' travel trailer. The trailer weighs about 7500 lbs. I don't think the horsepower and torque are going to be enough. I have been pulling it with one of my other trucks but I mat be getting rid of that vehicle. The E350 is a 11 passenger van with a 5.4L engine.

That engine is gonna be screaming going up ANY hills.....Bet that 7500 lb is trailer EMPTY! The 2112 is only rated for 7400#.

Thanks..They just don't make 8 passenger vehicles like my old excursion. May have to re-invest in a well kept 2005.

maybe there is more knowledge in the van forum...?

I also tow a 7500lb 31.6 TT with my E350, BUT I have the V10.
There is so much power I can still drag race and win against little cars trying to pass me on the on ramps LOL

7500lbs seems like it might be too much for the 5.4, good luck.

The van will pull it, just have to be patient with it.

Don't expect to tow any big amount of weight, and be on cruise control going up a 6% grade.

The old diesels in my signature only have HALF the power that 5.4 has, and i've pulled more than your about to, sure was slow, and engine riding the redline, but I don't mind it, it's the people stuck behind me that get all worked up

Don't forget, power is the least of your worries when towing, STOPPING THE LOAD is the most important!
