My headlight switch doesn't immulinate any more. Is that a bulb or a circuit board that burnt out?

Sounds more like a circuit bord I have never seen a led bulb go out I mean it possible but the led is a solder into the circuit bord looks like a pain to replace but I'm gonna replace y led to blue

Hey boys how's it going. The HVAC control write up can be found in the following album. I used SuperbrightLEDs.com and it went well. Some trial and error but hang in there, don't rush it and you can do it. The HVAC was a bit different in that I needed to use white LEDs around the blue/red temp dial and blue else where so it look correct when illuminated.

WET BLANKET ALERT! Don't read on unless you can tolerate a little anality.

Red is ideal for maintaining optimal night vision. Blue glow in your face is as bad as it gets. If you're in a metro area - no big deal because you deal with street lamps. I'm in the sticks and the very last thing I want to do is hinder my night vision with a blue dash because I swear... those deer, big-horned sheep, and bear are determined to die by Superduty.

Just a thought.

Blue sucks unless you just ride around town from time to time.

I'm glad you shared that. Sometimes things look "cool", but the truck owner doesn't realize the pitfalls until after the money is spent.

Do I simply pull the old original incandescent bulb from the base and insert the new LED bulb, and reinstall? Also will these part numbers work for an 05 Ex?
Thank you

Pull and replace the bulb is done with the cluster lightbulbs. The ac/heat/vent panel 4x4 selector switch panel, LEDs come with the base, no need to pull and reuse the old light bulb base. The headlight bulb is replaced by soldering a new bulb to the circuit panel.

I own a 06 f250 6.0 xl. The information provided in this post worked for me. However the cluster bulb placement design has changed since 2004. There are 14 bulbs total in my cluster. I did not replace all the bulbs. I only installed LEDs in the locations that light up the speedometer/rpm. This worked out for me but the downside to this is who knows how long the other bulbs will last before one of them burns out and i have to pull the cluster again.

example:

bulbs replaced with LEDs marked with red
