If your dealer is going to replace it under warranty, it may be not be because Ford is covering it under warranty. It may be because they made enough on you in the sale to eat it.

Possible I suppose, but I don't think they make much on an A-plan.

I sure wish I had found FTE before I bought mine! Since finding you guys and that pushing me to even deeper investigations.....

I just can't believe how Ford keeps getting people to buy its products! (1st and LAST time FORD buyer!)

Well, I bought another one. Just didn't order the chrome package and bought from a local dealer which will maybe aid in these situations. (Barring a HPFP failure of course...) I was however, locked in by the fact that I wanted a short bed, super cab, one ton, SRW truck. Ford is the only game in town.

A few weeks late I know, but I did just notice this all along the inside of my front bumper today on my '11 XL gasser...

Did a search to see if this is still a warranty battle with dealerships, because my truck has been in 6 times, 4 different issues and only one of them resolved. I also have a lot more weight and they have 20+ years of family buying to throw out the window, so I might ask them to exchange them for two new black bumpers instead of chrome.

I looked deeper into the bumper, this goes from end to end. Kinda strange considering we hardly used salt this year, 80% of the winter was well above freezing.

I have a '10 F350 but rust wasn't my problem. The left side of the rear bumper looked as if it had been painted with a spray can while the right side was perfect. The dealer has a brochure(from Ford) on what they will and will not cover. Had to have mine submitted twice (with pics) before they replaced it this week. Funny, a $55K truck with visible blemishes that you have to beg them to replace. I do not understand Ford's customer service the last few years.

I'm heading down there this afternoon, hopefully I have some leverage on them. I'm the third generation of buyers in my family, stemming back probably 25-30 years, with just a handful of cars not being bought there from 4 people. This was my first purchase from them, after two referrals in two years. I bought the truck in cash, outright.

It's been back too many times, and if I bring up the TPMS sensors still reading a fault before I put new rims/tires with different sensors on, I could lemon law it because it would be 5 times on that issue. Plus, there is a Chevy dealer next door and I know a few people there as well, and a Dodge dealer up the road where I know the sales manager (former from the Ford dealer before they moved him to parts and he quit in anger). I decided to cut ties except for warranty issues after they told me they would buy it back and then flipped it and treated me like crap. I do know now if I go in there I can bring up BBB and threaten to make them lose blue oval... again (they've lost it in the past).

Better of what I'm dealing with...

Think they'll do anything? I did buy this as a work truck and I'm now afraid the bumpers will fall off of it within 3 years...
