Here's what the tires are going on, have new center caps for all for corners too. HOPE to have them mounted tomorrow. Unless they changed something else.

I think we've all delt with those kind of idiots in that video. I remember one, after being asked by an mad customer wanting to know "How long I was going to wait on that part". My reply was, "Untill it gets here". I'm not much of a "People Person".

Spoken like a true redneck . Good people, they tell you the way it is & get stuff done when everybody else's trying to decide what to do. Used to work parts at a lawn mower shop. People come in & say "Just give me one, they're all the same.". If they WERE all the same, why do we have so many different ones? Or the people who have no clue what they have, "Oh, it's the red one." Let's see, Toro, Snapper, & some Crapsmans were red. That's not counting the commercial stuff. Add Exmark if you want to count commercial stuff. Forgot, MTD had "red ones' too.

Curt, What kind of yellow are you looking for? "Oh my God, that's bright", mustard yellow, banana yellow?

I had to move the engine and trans I took out of the Fire Chicken from the back of the Chevelle, around to the front of the Chevelle by hand. ......I hurt myself. I took a happy pill, but it hasn't kicked in yet.

.........engines are heavy when you leave them bolted to the trans.

Bob, you know you could've at least mounted those over here and balanced them later, right? You know you're always welcome to use what I have.

I'm thinking kind of like this. It's not going to be a showroom paint job by any means, though.

Or maybe this one: (huge pic, link only)

This is a Cessna color, "Carnival yellow".

There's a Mustang color that's really cool looking, too. I'll check some color chip books and get back with you.

How about "lemon ice"? That is what my dad picked out for his 50 chebby when he sent it to the restoration shop in Ark, and it was VERY BRIGHT to sat the least.

My dad passed away before it was finished, so he never got to see it. But it was just like he wanted with spray bed liner on the grill (yea I know, but he did not want to spend $500 on a repo), running boards, bumpers and of course in the bed.

Mom offered it to me, I helped her sale it, like I said, it was very bright and I enjoyed the drive from Harrison Ak to the house in Ridgedale Mo years ago. Cause you could not help but notice it.

Pat funny video clip, thanks for the laugh.

A guy I knew down in Louisiana had a blown '55 Chevy in Lemon Ice. That car stood out like shoes on a snake! It IS a cool color. That '57 Chevy I painted was a stock color pack from Eastwood. The paint system sucked, but the color grew on me after a while......

It took a LOT of sanding and buffing to save this paint job. Out of the can, the paint is garbage. BUT, it's dirt cheap. I think he paid $250 for everything.

The paint on the wagon is too orange, the old cheby is almost too bright. That's one thing I'd like to look at is color chips, but you really need to see them in person and in the sunlight, imo. Have you heard anything about the new duplicolor stuff? I know they use it like crazy on the shows on the "Powerblock" on spike tv.

I also remember hearing about a water based paint, I think also on the powerblock, the old truck they short bedded. Don't remember the name of it.

Yes its way bright and the way my dad wanted it, I like the black rims and other things to off set it.

But then again I am not a chebby guy at all, but I did like it. Really sold it because my dad never got to enjoy it and my mom needed the financial help.

It was original down to the floor mounted push button starter/3 on the tree. The Fulton visor came off dads ol 50 chevy that had a 56 box, he had it since 1949.

Was also sold to help mom out......

Alan thanks for that offer, I truthfully forgot you had a tire machine. Tim and I are about to load those wheels and tires up again and head towards Straffod. If something happens, I WILL take you up on that offer.
Are you still going to Buffalo? Do you have a good chain saw? I have a Killer Stihl "Farm Boss" here you can take. I "Lent" my chain saw file to an older guy that was out in Branson with us thursday.
He disapeared, needless to say, so did my new file.
