Up and going around here too. I have somebody that is supposed to be on the way to get some scrap metal that is in the garage, and in the back of Ka'Buey. Some Mitsubishi stuff that Tim sin't going to use, and I have some junk in there too. Posted an add on "The List" for free scrap, kept the first 6, if the first isn't here by 9am, I'm going to the second....
Speaking of that I better get moving, I have some brackets and pulleys to get for tim.
Unk Bob

Morning everyone.
Not much going on here - staying home today so I can try to see a doc about my stomach problems. I'm getting tired of having to deal with them on almost a daily basis now.
I finally got the last parts in for the Hemi Monday. I've managed to get one head stripped down for cleaning, but I still need to do the other one - maybe later today. I planned on getting them stripped down over the weekend, but was too busy being sick to make any progress.
Alan - the exhaust valves & seats on the one head I've got broken down are a bit odd. They don't have as clean and shiny contact area as the intakes, but they are smooth and free from pitting and scoring. I'm figuring a bit of lapping with some fine lapping compound is going to be called for to clean them up a bit before re-install right?
Well - better get off here and call the doc...

G mernin everybody. The passenger door jamb on the Crapmaro is painted now and ready for reassembly tonight. The guy with the 86 3/4 ton will be bringing it back for a full on brake job while he's in Jamaica next week. Still haven't received the fender for the Caravan and I was hoping to have it in and painted this weekend. Looks like I'll be on a tight schedule to get this one knocked out.

Glad you got your junk gone, Bob. I'd have taken it, but I couldn't get there until this evening.
Dave, sounds like you have a plan. Just make sure you have a constant ring around the valve seat when you lap them in. Exhaust valves tend to be darker because they are constantly getting heat treated as the engine is running. (cold air goes past the intake valve, hot air goes past the exhaust valve)
I'm just wasting some time while the mud dries on the fan shroud. I just use my finger and spread some on the welds to smooth them out a little. So far, it looks pretty good. I'll be glad when this project is over.

Hazard Are working! Turn lamps, and blower motor now work! The ignition switch was going bad And had a short!
Now I need to find the 2 wire temp sender for the gauge? changed the 1 wire temp sender on manifold, And found Another one wire temp sender on the block!
Bob do you have a ranger cam still around there?

Doc thinks I've got acid-reflux and given me some meds to, hopefully, help. I certainly hope so...
