Why does the 30# propane tank wait to run out until after you've kicked your boots off and just about ready to climb into bed? Guess it's the same reason why the socket always rolls to the hard spot to reach when you accidentally drop one.

Gees Dave, that really stinks. Did they give any reason why they're getting out of the sand business? Is this the same Maverick that runs those maroon Freightliners hauling steel out of FSM and had a yard east of I440 on I40?

Yep.

Me and a buddy built a propane powered flamethrower system in a monte carlo a few years ago. It's pretty easy and only scrapyard parts are required.

Afternoon gentlemen, I'm going to assume we're all still above water since I haven't heard about anyone getting flushed out...but I don't exactly have my finger on the pulse of the AR FTE chapter. Jeff picked a great time to leave the swamp on his odyssey. Got a phone call early Wednesday that I've been waiting for...for what seems like forever. I was woke up about 4 hours sooner than I wanted/needed to get up...but it made my day to get this call. Monday morning going to go talk to a guy about ending this whole exile thing I've been stuck with for 4 years, 1 month, 1 week and two days (but who's counting?). Outside of talking to my wife about it...I haven't said anything to anyone because I'm worried it's not a sure thing yet.

I have seen a couple of those truck with the propane nozzles. I'm thinking out the back under the rear bumper could be fun the next time some jackwagon in a ricer/hybird thinks he's going to bully me in the left lane

Do you think he's got what it takes to be a Chicken Hauler?

Tyson has its own trucks/trailer. All you need to do is supply your body w/ cdl & clean **** test. Lights, we have enough to be legal.

I hate to break you heart...but no matter how many lights you put on that 7.3L you won't be a chicken hauler. Every JB Hunt driver knows to be a chicken hauler you need to be in either a W900 or a 379 with a big ole dozer motor under the hood. Your just in training with that one of yours

I'm going to read between the lines. Since no one has hit the MegaMillions jackpot ($343 million!!). I'm going to assume he's lined something up already. Good for him...just get him in here to spill the beans to the rest of us.

I was joking about the chicken haulers that run refeers...not the live haul variety. In a former career I used to work for Cat (dealership) and you could tell the chicken haulers from all the rest of the trucks when they were in the shop. I've never had the chance to run one...but I used to have a fantasy I took a 500hp 3406E in a W900L across Death Valley in the big hole of a Eaton 18-speed and engine spinning for all it's worth. Closest I got to that "fantasy" was running a T800 across the Muskogee turnpike at 80mph. Ran out of gears before I could get into trouble.

Morning everyone, got the Pavement Princess back together last night. Would have gotten done sooner but a 7.3L swung by the house so I could "AE" his truck trying to figure out why it shifts rough. As much as I've been plugged into 7.3L trucks here lately...I may have to start spending some time in that part of the forum to read up on the "ins & outs" for that engine.

Glad you found something so quick Dave Why did they all the sudden decided to get out of the frac-ing business? Maybe I don't know the whole story....but there are several companies around here pounding sand 6-7 days a week. So I've always just assumed there's steady money in it.

Speaking of new jobs...short of finishing a couple of very minor details (paperwork) my exile from home is ending. By April 16th I'll be working out of FSM again...only took me 49 months to get back. Part of the good news, I'll have every weekend off...something I haven't had in 6+ years. It'll almost be like a real job.

I realize some may think it's a little early in the day to be looking at dirty photos. But we're all grown men around here...is there really a bad time to be looking at some PSD filth?

The injector that came out of #6 (was the leaker) is on the left and #8 just to compair. I wiped the tip down and sure enough...a couple of hair line fractures.

And when the oldest comes out to ask if he can help. Your darn skippy I stuck him up there putting things back together.

Maybe Santa will bring me one
