I'd prefer they didn't have the split rings but I can use them if that is all there is. Do you need them out of the way right now or can it wait till I can drag that cab and chassis up there?

The one is out of my way & what he has is out of his way. Next time I run into him I will ask what he wants for all of them.

You don't realize just how much time you spend on this site until the ISP blocks you from it. Anyone here have HughesNet for their ISP? When I was working out of Hot Springs/Jones Mill...the RV park were I stayed had it. I don't remember having issues then. But this one in Carthage has had me blocked off FTE since sometime Tuesday night/Wednesday morning.

After working on the truck for a little while (doing some RiffRaff upgrades) I'm putting allot of thought into writing a letter to Allen Mulally in Dearborn...maybe he'll forward it to the appropriate department.

To the design engineer(s) for the 2004 model year SuperDuties:

Would it have killed you to extend the upfitter wires 6 inches out of the harness under the dash? Some folks may use "butt" crimp connectors...but soldering is a better idea over the long term. If you don't understand my question, I'd be more than happy to walk you through the task at hand while you work under the dash of my truck.

Sincerely,

The owner who's a little hot under the collar.

LOL, that 6" of wire saved them Billion's of dollars.

Well my 66 ran under her own steam yesterday for the first time in 2 years.. man you should have heard the BANG from wherever the mud daubers had built. I'm guessin on the back of the fan clutch? In any case it sounded like a rod came through the block at first.

With a little more fresh gas and fluids she should make it to the GTG. And NO the wife isn't driving the F250.. if I bring the 66 she'll be in the Escape.. which still counts, a little.

Zach, I know why the wires are shorter (besides saving money), the design folks do NOT have to work on it. Thats like the Macks at work, if the ******s in the design room had to work on them, everything would be different.

My biggest complaint is that there's not enough wire to hold it down with one hand while you solider with the second...not to mention the third hand that holds new wire your trying to soldier to the OEM wire. Out of desperation I ended up using a pair of those crimp on butt connectors. But even that was a Royal PITA trying to get the to them. Slowly but surely it's starting to look nice with the F650 dash.

James, you still not going to make it Saturday? If it's work, tell 'em I said you could be absent with pay.

F650 dash..... got any pictures?

Sorta on call this weekend, a damn wedding & a small side job/fun time. Plus my wife would rather stay around the house & "catch up on house stuff" than get out of town for a while (silly woman). Oh well, I will get to put faces to screennames sooner or later.

Headed to KC last night/this morning heard one of the defect detectors report 68F degrees and that was at 0400. Either it's going to storm, or it's an indication of what this summer is going to be like.

You beat, while installing it in the truck last weekend. At some point I'm going to figure out what the other other gauge is going to be for the two gauge mounts to the left of the switches.<a href="http://s1247.photobucket.com/albums/gg633/Zack_Hilton/?action=view&amp;current=DSC_0557.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1247.photobucket.com/albums/gg633/Zack_Hilton/DSC_0557.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

When you say ugly, you need to be more specific than that...most of us around here are ugly. Though Jeff is reported to be be handsome one among us...or so I've been told. He ain't my type.

Lower dash looks good, I have the manual transfer case though and cant justify the expense for that model...probably the only time I wish I had ESOF.

No injuries other than my pride. I was loading a tractor on the trailer and it caused the truck to slide into a tree. There were a few sentence enhancers used while this was taking place!
