Went down to New Haven tonight for a "Taste of the Nation" charity event. Lots of food and beverage, but also a lot of people. It was a pretty good time. However...on the way home my truck decided to throw one of the exhaust plugs in the y-pipe(I think) while cruising down the highway at 65mph. Just now got home and letting the exhaust cool down a bit before checking it out. My truck went from sounding like a turbo-less cummins to a tractor.

My sister-in-laws friend has a 2001 f150 4x4 for sale.
It is a super cab long bed with a 4.6 V8, about 160k on the clock.
It has a few small dents but she is only asking $1,500.

 

If anyone knows of someone who needs help next week I'm looking for something to do.

Yeah, I know it could be worse, but I am very much not happy about it.

Just went out and checked, and it was the plug in the exhaust manifold, and not the one in the y-pipe. Yep, the one that is extremely more difficult to find!!! Son of a B!

Evening all! Tonight turned out eventful for me.

Started with Gillette's castle with the gf and the doggie, all three of us had a great time! She's been there before, my first time. I can't imagine living there, must've been nice. The dog had a blast too, she had her nose out the window the whole time sniffing everything she could, window to window in the back seat of my grandmother's car.

After we got home we spent another chunk of time washing and completely detailing the interior of the Sable. After, I did the oil change I've been itching to do on the truck, and then my buddy Nate came over which resulted in him and I going for a ride on the quad/bike (KFX700, KX450R), wound up ditching the bike for a Kubota to open up some more track in my field, basically 'till dark. I also found out in the middle of all of this that my grandmother, who's recently admitted to a nursing home for rehab after a second spill/broken hip, should be coming home in two weeks time. She's excited to not be eating their food anymore, she says..

Since then the GF came home, it's "ladies night" with her friend in the other room right now and I'm bored! I think it's time for a beer and some iRacing...
