i never did think that they play would be were the valves sit and when they are moved farther out they wouldnt have play. ill run the heads for now im planning on going back into the motor in a few months to play with it more. heads were machined .004 of an inch getting kinda close
Like I said Most folks dont even mention Valves/guides so that tells me there a good part and are Holding up well. As long as the moter is maintained well they probably dont even begin to be questionable untill 200-250K or more.
Im shure your heads will be fine I wouldnt worrey about it.
Are they atleast putting on new valve stem seals??
Now If a Guy was trying to make a dragster you would want a 3 angle valve grind with some Heavy Duty valve springs so they dont float.
if i remember right they did put new valve stem seals in. i got the heads on and torqued today been so busy and so many things going through the ole head i dont remember. i was going to build power out of her but getting a clutch to hold it and be good for a daily driver wont happen.
