The 351 was roller in 94. The 302 may have been roller in the late 80s Mustang, but I don't think thats the case with the trucks. I remember reading that it was in the early 90s for trucks.
As far as i know , all the 302 HOs had the roller cam , some of the 302 trucks in 92-93 got the small roller cam , in 94 the 302-351 got the good roller , i think by around 88 the 302s where roller ready , also in 94+ 302s , some had sefi and mass air....
The 302 block was officially made roller ready in 1987 but in general truck motors didn't get a roller cam until 1992, so while the OP's motor will have a flat tappet cam in it the block "should" be capable of accepting the factory roller cam assembly. I say "should" because some early blocks used the new casting but weren't completely machined for the roller assembly and there's no way to know until the intake is off.
A roller block will have raised and tapped bosses in the middle of the lifter valley and the top of the lifter towers will be machined flat. The block casting number will also be E7TE or later.
