Help with gas leak under engine
I have a 1996 F-150 6 cylinder automatic with 2 gas tanks, when I turn on the switch on the dash for the rear tank, I could smell fuel, and looked under the truck and see gas dripping underneath the middle part of the engine, then when I turned off the rear tank and turned on front tank, the gas dripping stopped. Does each gas tank have its own pump in the tank? Does the gas lines from each tank join up at the engine in a Y fitting? Maybe it's leaking there, but then the front tank would leak fuel also when on but it's doesn't leak when front tank switch is on. I need some advice.

You're gonna have to get in there and find out exactly where the gas is leaking from, the tanks do Y together but it's back on the frame not up by the engine so that's probably not your problem.
