Edge CS?????

I have an Edge CS with custom tunes for my 04 F-150. My question is has anyone had their unit just want black? My wife said that when she went into the gas station it was working, the truck was running, came back and nothing! Could the unit have something wrong with it or could it be my OBDII port? Any help will be greatly appreciated

So you bought the unit from PHP? Did you post on their website forums?

Check the cig lighter fuse.

Check to see if the OBDII cable is seated properly.

I have already replaced the cig lighter fuse with no luck and made sure none Of the pins where bent and the port is in there securely. So could it be the unit it self?

Was the fuse blown?

Yes it could be the unit. What did PHP say?

It sounds like an electrical issue that's for sure and typically when it's all of a sudden like you say in there, to me, that always "says" fuse.

Does the OBD-II port work otherwise? Do you have another scanner that you can put on it? Does the ciggy port work when something is in it? Just in case there is something else that could affect power source, but separate from a fuse being blown.

The OBDII port I'm assuming works because I just replaced my throttle positioning sensor and had my dads snap on scanner plugged in and again his scanner was working. The cig lighter does not work at all even when I replaced the fuse and fuse is not blown

Check to see if all the pins on the OBDII are in fact working. Might want to check all the connections on the ciggy lighter as well. Until that has been eliminated, it's hard to reconcile the CS being flakey.
