Darren - now that's what you call bounce in your step. Thanks
Gavin - have you ever heard of a guy named John Beatty? He is a power lifter and body builder from the Champaign-Urbana area. I guess he's coming to our county fair next week. The picture in our local paper shows him bending a steel bar.
We are camping this weekend with the Scouts. First time the wife and daughter are coming along. I think they miss seeing us . My daughter decided to join our Venturing Crew because she was tired of going to meetings and not participating. She will love it. Venturing is for Scouts 14-20 for those that didn't know.

A friend of mine does that with his son (who is still a Cub). They have an awesome 5th wheel they camp in, but the scouts are savages that sleep in tents...
Are you guys sleeping on the ground or taking the camper? Either way, way to stay involved!

Scout camping is ALWAYS tent camping around here. There are a few camps that take 5th wheels, but no way I'd take mine. Like you suggested, our Scouts would trash it. We sleep on thermalrests or cots depending on the length of the campout. This is our 7th year in Scouting and look forward to many more!
@Ron - No, don't know him. I stopped lifting competitively in '92 after I blew out my eblow, we were still in Florida. All I do now is ride my bike.
@Savage - You are going to have some excellent camping weather this weekend, especially for late July. Have fun.
BTW - the year is only half over and you have already wrapped up the "FTE Dad of the year award"
Congrats buddy!
