If I were wealthy, I would purchase a 6.0L just to play with (daily driver?).
That way I have my factory 6.7L for towing, travel, etc..
A tuned 6.0L is one of the best sounding diesel trucks out there.
Technically, a shop would be doing the changes 'cause I would break something.
I finally got all the the parts primed and painted and I'm almost ready to put the rear axle back together. I just need some longer wheel studs but I can't find any that are less than $15 bucks each. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/arp-100-7707
Not enough thread engagement with the old studs.
Powder coated diff. cover looks real good.
Drum brakes are soooo much easier to rebuild on a workbench.

I have spent hours on the Summit web site, it has by far the best parametric search, that's how I found the ARP100-7707 at $15 each. They are an odd shaped stud that pins the brake drum to the back of the hub, so it has a double shoulder.
Thanks for looking Gerry, but I need the double shoulder. The stud goes through the brake drum and presses into the hub. So they have to look like this.....
