The diesel can that I bought last year is the spring loaded kind but it's impossible to use standing on a tractor.
First time using this can for that purpose.
It doesn't have a notch to rest it on the tank.
So, you have to twist lock right and push up on the lock, push downward on the nozzle, hold it there with your left hand, lift the can to the tank fill area and begin pouring fuel which will begin leaking out of the cap all over the place, no matter how many ways you try to tighten it.
I ordered a can with a nozzle (has a wide round piece) that you simply rest on the tank fill area and use gravity.
Lift up on the can to stop the flow of fuel.
I see these types of cans used for dirt bikes (quick fueling when racing) and they look easy to use.
I'll use the crap can to fill the new can.
That's all the patience I have left for it.
I do have a newer style gasoline can with the lever type nozzle that I keep 93 corn free fuel in.
While it is slow, it is easy to use and kind of handy unlike this other design.
Wow John, that's egregious enough to wonder exactly who these people think they are working for.

It really is disheartening to read stuff like this. Our department is like many others right now and struggles to fulfill needs across the board while trying its level best not to sacrifice services. It's sad to see so much waste because it speaks volumes about the lack of checks and balances in many of the larger cities now.
I'd like to visit a certified tree huggers house & point out things that are wasteful ....
Hey Gerry, I'll go along on that house call. Start with that stupid electric vehicle which they will never get their return on investment. Did you see Lutz the former GM C.E.O. on tv last week? He said how electric vehicles are not a money maker for the automobile companies because people can see how it will take 20 years for them to break even compared to a similar gas car. Who keeps the same vechle for 20 years/ Less than 10% of the public especially when you think about the technology they will have in 20 years from now! Point out the pollution that is created manufacturing those batteries and recycling them! They think electricity is free or something. When you add up how much it cost in batteries, charging them, etc.. it only makes sense for the shuttle companies or uitility companies to own those electric vehicles.
