The 2006-7s were pretty good........the early 6 ohs can be trouble, 03 was the first yr for them....I got a good'un I guess.....
Yeah I test drove a new one in 2006 and almost bought it but I got cold feet when I read the reviews about the 6.0L. That was when I signed up for this website. Then my friend with the transmission shop said his neighbor got the dealer to take back the 6.4L because it was shooting flames out the tailpipe and I decided to wait again. Fast forward 6 years and I bought the 6.7L last year. Been super happy with it so far.
Yeah we bought it 3 years ago and after remodeling we started thinking of traveling and that is why we bought the truck a year ago. I'm trying to decide if we should buy a 5th wheel or regular trailer.
Nope, never had any problems Martin, it still has ESP on it plus Diesel Care ESP with zero deductible so now is a good time to sell it, or trade it
I have a good friend with an 07 F250 with the 6.0. He's had it tuned mildly since day 1, prob has 70,000 on it and never an issue. He has had some repairs but not the big ones everyone talks about. Last week he finally had the motor beefed up with the head studs and whatever else everyone does with that bulletproof kit.
It's a real nice truck, not the powerhouse motor we have, but it's also not nearly as complicated. Those trucks look great, sound great, and really have it all except the modern stuff. Good power and good economy too.
