I think there is plastic tubing we can use in a cement floor now....
Yeah I have seen the plastic ones and it makes it so much easier and faster to install it. I would highly suggest marking the floor incase you ever have to drill or cut into it later on.
Thx Martin, I appreciate that info, (reps sent) what work do you do for a living........you don't have to tell me if its personal
I use to work contruction in my 20's but quickly figuered out it wasn't something I wanted to do the rest of my life. I got into financing and worked for a large national bank and now I work for myself trading stocks. I just remodled my house with my friend who is a contractor and i am waiting for the wether to warm up so I can seal the driveway and pour a concrete walkway to the garage. I'm going to lay down some pvc, copper, gas pipes and 4" sewer lines down because I might build a bar-b-que are this summer.
I used 2" chairs under 9x9" wire mess and wire tied the PEX to the mesh. The slab was 5" thick so the PEX is 2-1/2 to 3" deep. The oxygen barrier is used in closed loop systems to prevent corrosion. The water in my system is as clear as when I put it in. The most important thing to do when you heat a concrete slab is insulate the perimeter.

Sounds like you have kept yourself busy and that is good. I have always maintaned my own vehicles but have swapted out a few engines with my brother-in-law ( he's a mechanic for over 30+ years). I have a friend who owns a transmission shop in Simi Valley, Ca. Elderly parents are hard to take care of but you have to remember they took care of us. I have friends that tell me Cuba is a great place to visit but U.S. citizens had to go to Canada before going to Cuba.
