crank cam sensor
in mexico need help 2004 6.0 wont start it has good icp 1000psi good feul flow all rlays and fuses ok no codes on scan gauge ii ficm volts ok my questin is can scan guage read rpm if cam or crank sensor is bad i can read over 100 rpm however sync shows 0 it used to show 10r 2 i cant remember which is there a diagram of the wiring for cam crank sensor any place on forum thanx

Man thats not a Place that I would want to break down
IIRC sync= 1good 0no sync
I take it No Codes are coming up
What one is it thats of concern CMP sensor or CKP sensor (Camshaft sensor or Crankshaft sensor)
Also they use V-ref signal the 5volt
whats SGII showing for V-ref should be Really close to 5volt (my truck runs at 4.98 volt for vref)

Does the RPM gauge register CMP/Camshaft sensor is used to get this value
Do they show sync on a Long Crank of the starter IDK but it may take a little bit of turning the moter over before the SGII will show that it has acheived sync
IDK if they will show sync at KOEO I wouldnt think so

thanx for the reply iam having trouble geting internet conection ficm volts are all good on scan gauge but no codes and no sync iwill try to test cam and crank sesor values at computer and ficm tommorow suspect no cam sensor as the scan guage shows over 100rpm on cranking appreciate the info on wiring diagram if ican get a decent internet conection iwill be able to print it off will post agin tommorw to let you know how things turn out

thanx for the help especilly link to wiring diagram cleaned connections at computer and ficm tuck starts and runs and cam crank cignals synced we had problems getting on computer and searching here in small village of la penita mexico
