Gauge Question

The PO of my truck has installed an Autometer water temp gauge as a trans temp gauge, It seems to be working but does anyone see any problems with this? Other than the dial say's water of course.

I'd think it would be fine. Temp is temp weather it's oil or water

Same sensor (water temp and trans temp) so no harm.
