Something is leaking diesel down in the valley , the fuel works its way over to the starter side on its way to the ground.......... I am planning to just go down to the Valley and seal up everything I see, any suggestions? Ive never been down in the Valley not sure what Ill find hope it simple, my truck is an 81,000 mile virgin besides a bad DMF this is the first real problem ........ Any thoughts or ideas????????
at my truck it was the vacuum switch on the drivers side on the fuel bowl. i've learned that it's a common problem. start the truck and try to see where it's leaking from.
hope this helps.
Michael Thanks thats a good pic and thanks to Cuda Jim too. So far all I can see is the fuel way down deep the filter area is clean and dry my plan is to re do evertthing do there so since its been 15 years and zero leaks down there I might as well do everything and get 15 more years of good service . Today is a wet rainny day so looks like it will have to wait for a better day.

Hey Mike that pic disappeared but do you know what that vacuum type switch part does?
My switch is leaking fuel at a good clip trying to see if Auto Z has them in stock but I don't know what its called.
Commonly refered to as a fuel restriction sensor also...I removed it and just plugged mine with a 50 cent plug .... did not feel like paying 50 bucks or so for a POS that will just leak again.....
Yep. I still have a leak though.. I think its the pump, darn things just dont last. I need to mop up the fuel and try to find the leak, its so small I keep putting it off but I need to fix it at 4 plus a gallon.
