backup camera stopped working

I was having the same problem with mine. I reached up and just sqoze the connector together and pushed the harnesses into the connector and all was fine. I use my park brake every time I park it in the driveway because it's on an 8% grade. Now when I release the park brake I keep my foot on the pedal and let it out with my foot. Haven't had a problem since.

Mine did this Wednesday morning and I’ve checked the parking break and connectors by it, fuses and connection at tailgate...still not working the screen did flicker before going black and has done it a few times since Wednesday. Has anyone else resolved this their selves I’m about 150k miles past my warranty and really would like to fix this myself

I would love to get your experience and advice with a similar issue. I have a 2010 F150 Platinum where the camera is working intermittently. Seems to go off with rainy weather (???maybe???), never a real pattern but it eventually always comes back on. I'm getting a little tired of this especially with camping season coming up...lots of backing up to hitch up. My problem differs a little. When my rear view camera goes out I lose the ability to use the touch screen. I can still see it and control most things with the buttons below the screen, just can't touch the screen. That's a huge pain in the butt because I can't do things like change the time for daylight savings or use my preset addresses, and a whole host of other things. The touch screen always comes back when the camera comes back. On together. Off together. Please, for the love of God, help me!

Okay, same camera issues (intermittent use, off with rain or washing, camera replaced once, 2 yrs later it's out again, dealers will not touch it as out of 2 yr warranty period for replacement parts. Followed suggests to rest all setting and play with parking brake. Bingo, it's working. So, obviously a wiring/bundle issue around the parking brake mechanism. Guess I get hold of a Ford Customer Service Rep.

I do have upfitters pigtails used for #3 for
LED raptor grill lights. That is BS with the dealers. They’re just lazy.
I Luckily I have a good friend and tech at my dealer. 25 years plus. If I asked him to look at the camera but to look in brake pedal area he would and not blame a customers use of wiring.

Fix worked
, Hey everyone,
I'm a technician for a used car dealership in Washington State. I'm working on a 2013 F-350 platinum and the fix of moving the connector attached to the parking bracket definitely fixed the backup camera issue!! Thanks for the awesome idea. Have a great day!!
