I mentioned in another thread that I emailed Opti-Lube concerning if it meets Ford's specs. Here is their response:
My apologies for the delayed response.
I can not say for certain whether or not our products would void your warranty. However all our products are certified for use at fueling stations. Meaning you could get already treated fuel at the pump, because of this it should not affect your warranty.
I guess without knowing what Ford's "specs" are it's hard to say. Not sure you would even get a clear answer from Ford if you asked them what the specs are that they are referring to in the manual.
i use opti as well. They claim to be a deemulsifier, which is supposed to remove water . Over the last 8 years, never any water in the seperator.
I have never had any water issues, maybe a drop or two. I usually drain into a clear container and let it settle a few days and check. I can only recall seeing a couple drops once or twice.

Same. Where do you live? Most of my diesel driving has been done in the northwest over the last 18 years. Just a few drops. I always wonder where this bad fuel is coming from that people are draining out all this water.
