When I pulled it on my 99 I had a buddy with a long pair of pliers hold the bottom clip and kinda spread it while I pulled on it. I would do thepassenger one first is easier to do and you will have a better idea for the dr side witch is harder to get to

Just turn the headlight adjuster. I use a power driver like a Manufacturing and a torx bit. IIRC turning it clockwise will adjust the bottom of the headlight out. If you turn it all the way it will disengage from the socket. You will find it easier than trying to squeeze the tabs together. You can use a socket (14 mm) to squeeze them, but it often doesn't work to easy. To put it back just engage the shaft and turn it the opposite way.
