My father tried to replace one of my aftermarket bulbs after it dimmed on him. When he did replace the bulb, he put it in wrong and used duct tape to hold it in place. Now the bulb is melted to the headlight itself. How do I go about getting the left headlight assembly off?
Remove the two screws on the turn/park lamp assembly and pull straight out (this is just for better access to the headlamp). Pull straight up and remove the two clips on the top of the headlight housing, and pull it straight out as well.
Excercise some caution as the rubber push pins that are securing the lights after the screws/clips have been removed can be quite stubborn the first time you take them apart.

I couldn't agree more, but it so turns out it was my brother and not my dad. I'm still frustrated and upset about it though. I now have to order a new headlight assembly. At my dealership its $179.01 with tax just for the headlight alone!more if I want the 2002 diamond clear lenses) I'm better off going on ebay and looking for it there!
