So rear lockers are a good way to help beef up a 2wd offroad/mud? and how much $$$ are we talking if i were to get rear lockers?

Stuff an IDI in the half ton.
I used to have a 300-6, good little engine.

Yes, you wouldn't believe what TRUE rwd with both tires locked feels like. I had a mini spool in my Cherokee and felt like 4wd was cheating because locked rwd was so capable.

And in case you're wondering, I drove this mini spool every day for years with Super Swampers in all weather and I LOVED it! I'm sure you'll run into guys telling you to never buy a mini spool for a 90% street driven truck but most likely they're just spewing out stuff they've heard from someone else that never did it either.

BTW, a mini spool for an XJ was like $87.00. I think they're still about $100.00.

Just google Lock-Rite for for 8.8 or maybe Detroit. Then discuss it with you're favorite mechanic on labor.

(PS, it's "locker", not "lockers")
