223 i6 harmonic balancer

Hey everyone I'm looking to buy a harmonic balancer for my 223. Does anyone have an extra or no where I might start to look for one. Is it possible to rebuil them? Thanks for the help

Cars were single belt, while truck were double belts. Here's one place to try, DamperDudes.net (Americas Largest supplier of harmonic balancers), but they are out stock. They can rebuild yours for $138 the same day they receive it.

Another place to try is here, Damper Doctor Online: FORD 223 C.I.. They're also out of stock and can rebuild yours for $154 with a three day turn around time.

Several months ago two other FTE members were looking for this same part. I had two spares that they bought, but I have not been able to find any more "cores".

BTW, you could expand your search as the harmonic balancers (or dampeners) were the similar in the early 215 and later 262 engines.

Wow 150 bucks for a rebuild? That's pretty steep but I guess what can you do when they don't make them anymore.

You're exactly correct on the statement. At least you have a "core" to rebuild. You'd be SOL if you didn't have it. Finding one might be The first place I listed is $16 cheaper. That'll help you on shipping out to California, where both of these places are located.Call a few local machine shops in your area. Maybe they can rebuild it or know someone locally who can do it.
I'll look up the part number for it when I get home today and see if I can locate an NOS tomorrow.
