223 rebuild
I haven't had a lot of experience with these old motors and a friends dad asked me to help him rebuild the one in his 63 F100. I know how to build engines and what to look for as far as wear and tear but is there anything specific with these that I need to look for and where would I find the specs for reassembly? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Nothing really unique about the 223 as far as watch outs. All the normal wear spots will show themselves. The Ford shop manual for the truck does a really good job taking you through rebuild.
