You do not have the factory brake controller.. That did not come out until 04-05. You probably have the plug to hook up an aftermarket brake controller under the dash though.
Yep, mine was in the glove box. The factory plug in my 2004 is up under the dash above the gas pedal secured to part of the frame. If you have the trailer/towing package you should have one up under there somewhere.

Factory brake controll wasn't available till model years 05-13. As for the pigtail to install aftermarket brake controllers, if it is NOT in the glove box, the Ford part number is: F85Z-14A348-AA, and lists for $22.10
