Question about Hpop

I would like to upgrade to a T500, but have a few questions. I have a 96' and on Riff Raff web site they show that pump is a 15* I have read that you can put a 99 17* pump in.
If I put one in I will be ordering it and then shipping back the core as I can't have my truck down again. What would be the best pump to get?

T500 is a 15* turned into a slightly more modded 17* pump. I've got a core chilling in my basement. Pm me and ill give you some details. I love my t500 btw pulls to redline and lots better throttle response.

That is actually asking for the core type. All T500 pumps are the same except for the fittings to the heads.

That's what I did. From stock 15, to 17, to adrenaline, to T500.

Got a question for you guys? Here's the background. I have been seeing alot of super duty hpop upgrade posts, and just general questions about it. Then I was given a HPOP out of a 99 7.3 but don't know what part of the year the motor was built, and heard that the early models were still a 15* pump. Is there a way to tell if its the 17* pump from the outside housing or not so much?

What year is your truck. On my phone and can't see sigs. Should have a part number somewhere on it. I'd email joey with it. He will probably know.

Mine's a 97 so it should bolt up just fine, from what I've read. yeah the pump I got has a barcode on it... That's a good idea. thanks, I'll ask joey this too, but this pump is off a motor with about 300,000 does that affect it at all?

This is what Joey said about the question from earlier, Hey, if it was from a 99.5, it's a 17. Early 99 would be a 15.

Only two ways to verify, other then the above.
1) Remove rear cover and look for a bushing(17 degree) or a Beraing(15 degree).

2)Or, if your lucky, look for the number 449 in black ink on the rear cover or the pump body. 449 is a 17.

Good luck!

I'd say with 300,000 I'd use it as a core. I put a 17 on with 170000 and it would not keep up tunes and factory SD ad's.

Mmk that's what I was thinking, how much does it cost to have it used as a core because the prices I've looked at on the website seem to be around the same price as the brand new bosch HPOP on their site.
