i hate wiring!

So as you may of read a couple weeks ago my truck was not running. After a long haul of trying to get her going she's back in action! I installed a push button ignition in my dash, wired right to the fender mounted solenoid. I have been eliminating wires I don't need in the truck because the previous owner rigged it. After a couple brews I took a rigged wire out but it must of had something to do with my directionals, and also my reverse lights are out. I hate rigged s***! >:O

first things first, check the fuses. also check for bad grounds at the rear lights.
for reverse lights, i like to see, so i installed a pair of 4x6" halogen 55w spotlights cut into the rear bumper, controlled by a toggle switch on the dash (because the factory switch was going out), fresh 12ga wires all the way back and they work like a dream
for the turn signals, gotta get those working right. do the 4-way flashers work? if yes, look into wiring from ignition switch to TS switch, also fuses and the switch itself. if the 4-ways don't work, its more likely with wiring from the TS switch out to the lamps.
i've done plenty of wiring in my day, just about everything you can think of short of a full rewire, and i really don't mind it - at least when i know whats been done - starting from someone else's poorly done mess is another issue!

Yeah my hazards work and the fuses are fine, I have spotlights too mounted under my bumper that don't work also, they are spliced right into my reverse.

power for both offending circuits goes through the ignition switch, maybe a problem there? use a test light to see if power is getting to those fuses...

for the reverse lights, if your aftermarket lights draw as much power as mine, they shouldn't be wired through the factory wiring, as they will overload the wires and switches.

The blinkers are back up and going, so now I'm just stuck on the reverse lights so I'm almost there!
