Are the front bumper brackets and attachments the same for years 80 to 96? I have a winch bumper of unknown vintage, I don't want to pull the stock bumper if the winch bumper is not going to fit.
While they are different as others have said, drilling out two 3/8" steel plates and attaching the bumper to the plates, then the plates to the frame, will solve the problem just fine.
I don't know the year the winch bumper came off. I want to put it on my 95 F150. I havn't pulled the stock bumper, hoping I could avoid too much fabrication as I'll be working on my back in the snow. Is it all right to drill throught the waffle frame horns?
