Small Coolant Leak Help

Was under the truck today and noticed a very small drip of coolant coming from the large coolant hose right at the connection under the fan. Also noticed there was some on the loom covered hose or wire above attached to the fan that runs up the drivers side fender. Is the loom covering a coolant hose or is it covering a wiring harness? Can someone help me out with this so I know what to replace.

Shine a flashlight on the upper hose where it goes into the thermostat housing...any white splatter there? I suspect that is where the leak is.

I'll check that out. I've read that the connection under the fan is a bad spot for leaks.

Only way to tell is gonna be a wipe and see. Or a Confirmation of a leak elsewhere.

Here is what my upper hose looked like after it was taken off.

Checked the tstat quickly and couldn't see anything. It's too far back for where the leak is underneath. It's right below the fan on the large hose.

Sounds like you have narrowed it down to that hose.

Ya I'm pretty sure it's that one. Just wondering if the hose or wires above it covered in loom is in fact just wiring or is it another coolant hose?
