My truck is currently in the shop right now for a coolant leak on the drivers side. It ended up being that hose under the degas bottle where that plastic fitting is where the hoses join up.
Mine only leaks where the is pressure in the system, so i had to get the truck up to temp before it'd start leaking. I went through about a gallon every 2 hours in run time, so it was a pretty decent leak.
Look there and also on the underside of the degas bottle. There could be small cracks.
Got it off seems to be the actual radiator hose as its got white stuff all over and a part is rubbed pretty bad the leak is coming from down low around the water pump so maybe it's that
Just to be clear the waterpum is right below the thermostat were the lower radiator hose goes into and there is another hose that goes into it. So there is only two hoses that go into the waterpump correct?
Seems like it could be coming from were the lower radiator hose is secured to the radiator by those plastic clips as there is coolant all in there and when I push up on it more comes out and nothingn above that point is wet
well looks like maybe it fixed it not sure if there is enough coolant in there to fix it. gotta go in the morning and get some. how much coolant does it hold?
I'm assuming you have the banks cac tube setup?? Those are big for sure. Gotta wrestle the crap outta it to get it apart. It will NEVER blow off,, but dang!!!! Let me say I freakin hate the banks setup. It's nice I guess,, as long as you never have to touch it. Which you got a lesson as to why I can't stand aftermarket stuff.
