OK I will double check it and shoot an email out to ts about using the map sensor to read boost (should not be an issue but never hurts to ask) i really am thinking that smoothing out the turbine side of the housing removed just enough metal to make the turbine less efficient. I am wondering if a new housing is in my future

Well there is some truth to that statement because the turbine housing is machined so there is a set distance between the housing and wheel. But I do not think that is the reason for your low booast. Be careful on your intake plenums if you over tighten them you can bend the plenum. With these you won't have to worry about that as an issue, Riffraff Diesel: RDP Plenum Reinforcing Inserts™ But to be honest I'll bet it is your up pipes donut gaskets. Look around the baby butt with a mirror for leaks.
Good luck
Boost is still very low 12 to 15 psi stays 0 up to 2300 rpm checked everything over again and I cant find any leaks I guess I am going to order a new housing from clay should I move to a non waste gated housing? Its a little cheaper to buy that and the adapter. If I understand the waste gate is just a safety to keep you from over boosting the truck and limping it. What are the drawbacks of running with no wastegate aside from having to regulate your boost with your gauge and throttle
Ken, i believe its in the "adjustment" of the W/G. I AM SEEING THE EXACT SAME #'S. I popped my turbo sky-high, snapping the shaft..etc, rebuilt it, tweeked the w/g rod, thinking to get more boost, but nauda, 12psi max with redline hooked up, 14/15psi w/out redline..
Hopefully find time this weekend to wrench on ur...my boost sucks.
oh hell if thats the case ill just take it back off and weld the waste gate closed that should be the same as unhooking it but i dont know what else to try
