My passenger and driver side door windows are rattling and I need a quick cheap fix. I can get the anti rattle kit for a $150 bucks but id rather do it for like $10. Ill do that once I get around to the full restore. Do they make felt clips that mount inside the window frame (like '92 rangers)? I got the dorman little metal clips, but they were a hassle and kept falling out and so forth. Any ideas for a cheaper fix?
You can buy "cat whiskers" with clips from any autoglass shop for one heck of a lot less than 150 bucks. These are universal "fitz-alls" come in a length of 6 ft., so are cut to fit.
Cat whiskers is an old term for door glass weatherstrips that clip to the inside/outside of the door between the glass, aka anti-rattlers.
thanks for the help guys. Im going to try and find those cat whiskers first and if not im going to try and give the wood idea. I know it was a joke (i think) but i might give it a try.
