I think I will have to change the passenger door window bottom outside rubber strip. I don't know the proper name.

Last summer, the truck was always parked in the driveway. Too long and wide for the garage. After a rain storm or after I hose it down for a wash, I'd open the passenger door and some water, not lots, would drain out from the door drain holes. The driver's side door is fine. I would think water is seeping into the door from the bottom window weather strip. How do I go replacing it? How is it held there?

It snaps in the oblong holes

 

I just replaced mine this weekend. I think what you are referring to is the anti-rattle seal. 21452 and 21456 in Mil1on's diagram. When you buy them they are called anti-rattle kits. These are the small lips that go across the bottom of the window glass, correct? They snap in with small clips that push through holes in the door sheet metal. When I replaced mine, I was replacing my entire glass runs, so I had the glass out. I'm not sure how you would do it with the glass still in the door, because you need to be able to pop the seals outward but the glass is still pinched between then, even when it is rolled down all the way.

If you can find a way to pop them out with the glass installed, more power to you, but I had to take mine apart. There is a bolt that holds the inner glass guide rail to the door; you must take the door panel off to get at it. Freeing the inner rail will give you room to jimmy the glass off of the window regulator, so that you can lower the door glass past it's normal stopping point, and down into the door. Just be careful because the glass is heavy, you don't want it to drop down. Be careful of where the glass sits too; because the regulator will be in the way. With the glass bottomed out in the door, you will have room to pop the seals off. The new ones snap into place. I bought mine from Mac's; they are a site sponsor. You can get just the two anti-rattlers alone, but I would suggest to get the entire kit that will come for both doors which will include the anti-rattlers and the rubber that lines the top and by the vent window. Really makes the doors nice. Also, your vent window seal could be bad also letting moisture in. Its kind of an expensive fix, but can't go wrong with new rubber. It's one of those things that once you have those anti-rattlers out, you can easily remove the vent window assembly to replace the rubber. You'd hate to go to the trouble of taking all the components out and leaving something that you may have to replace later. Just a thought.

you should be able to drop the window the last little bit by rolling the window down and remove the three regulator bolts. (must remove door panel) leave the window roller bolted in so the regulator doesn't fall completely out of place. Also, like others have mentioned. While you are at it, you could replace the window felts also!!
