Head

Hey buck good looking truck looks like yours started pretty ugly too. So I just got thinking about I previewed the truck the other day and I notice over the frame rail headers and the exhaust runs on the outside of the frame I'm going to assume it is a 460 conversion ? Just a quick search showed up with those headers for a 460 only is that right guys ?

No you cannot assume it is a 460 because of fenderwell headers. They made fenderwell headers for a 351M/400.

Count the valve cover bolts when you look at it, 7 is 429/460 and 8 is a 351M or 400.

I'd value the truck between 2-2.5K

Thanks. Ya, my truck started out pretty much a heap of junk.

Not necessarily a 460 conversion with fenderwell exit headers, but more common to the 460 swaps. If the truck does have a 460 and it's set up right, that does increase the value a bit IMO, but still not much over the $2000 mark. Old trucks just aren't worth much in today's market and will probably get worse since fuel is expected to go up again toward the 4.00/gal mark and with crappy fuel economy, people are going to be looking to get rid of em.
