Hey guys i'm about to order a php chip for my truck and need some advice. I just want to get a basic set up for my truck 60dd, 80p, 80t and 1100 idle. My question is a couple times a year I will be towing our camper up the moutains, what is a good tow tune for moutain driving. Our camper is 6k. I tried calling php for help but after two days of calling still cant get threw.
They close at like 3 EST. dont know where your located but im on the west coast so i always forget to call before 12 noon lol. But i would definately say you need a tow tune, probobly their heavy tow.
I liked the 40t I had but I also have a 5spd. Usually left in 100 performance because it had good power and I could control the egt. The shift strategy with an auto will be your big concern between a per and tow tune.
I dont want to be mean or anything, but why get it?
I mean id just lock my truck if i didnt want someone stealing it?
or is there a dffrent reason?
IDK but each his own. Can keep dishonest folks honest I guess. Or out changing the oil. So you flip the switch. Drain oil. Get a phone call. SALE ON BEER downtown call comes in. Jump in truck, truck won't start. Say yourself, WTF!!! oh yeah, put drain plug in and oil. I know on a stroke it wouldn't start but you know what I am saying.

Mmm.. never thought of that. I've almost done that one or two times with diffrent cars.
