And that's why we can't buy beater trucks or cheap parts trucks anymore. I'm so pissed that high scrap metal price has caused most of the east coast cars and trucks to be crushed for scrap, and we now have to pay a premium for everything.

Go make friends with the owner of the scrap yard. That's the way I do it.

I tried that. Things are rough in the Iron County, WI/ Gogebic County, MI area, so the scrappers squeeze every penny out of every vehicle they can. Best you can do is get parts, can't get the whole car (tried to buy an 87 off one, he refused to let it go, though).
In other news, I decided I'll pass on this one. There'll be one I like by summer, I'm sure of that.
