I'm lookin' to buy a house

I've been shopping for a house for about four months now, and haven't found anything that's worth cutting a check for. I'm in need of a four stall garage, or some variation of four stalls (i.e.: attached two stall with detached two-stall). Gotta have room to work on the cars. I'm in the Bismarck area and need to stay in Bismarck territory.

Was wondering if anyone on here knew of someone that would be selling their house in the next few months that wasn't already listed. Apartment life has finally driven me close to mad, so I figure it's time to get out and start putting my money into something that will be an investment. I've checked out a few four stall homes, already. The garages have been teasers, but the houses are just plain old beat to hell. Seems to be tough to find a nice small house with a large garage. Not to mention, finding one within my range of price. Looking for under $120K since it'd be just me in the house.

Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

Not sure if your familiar with Real Estate

Always a good place to look online for private sellers. Other than that I have no idea how to help. Like you said, that's going to be tough in the range. Might want to consider lincoln or mandan, its a little cheaper homes so its a better chance to find in your range. Might be hard to find a garage that size in such a small home.

Hey Justin, how's it going?

I found my house in the Finder of all places. Its a 15 mile drive to town, but the price was right. How far out are you willing to go? Mckenzie has some cheap land, but you would have to build. I'm on the Mandan side of the river now, and I love where I live. I got 4.8 acres, a 3 bedroom house and a 32x40 (I think) garage. I picked that all up for $127,000. Btw, you are the Justin that I know from GrandMarq.net right?

I've been watching a few different sites with listings. Realtor hasn't found anything worth while. 10-15 miles from Bismarck isn't a bad distance for me. Would probably be worth it if a guy could have a little more privacy on the property. I've been watching Mandan since prices are a little lower there, but the taxes seem to be higher.

And, yes, I am the one from GrandMarq.net.

I guess I am confused. DEF has gone up $1.50 a gallon and you are excited about that as an expense? How much DEF do you buy in a year? 100 gallons? When I first bought my truck I filled it up with diesel for $1.75 / gallon and DEF was $3.00 / gallon. This was at a T/A Truck Stop, where I buy 90% of my fuel.

This was my most recent fill up at the same station. Note the price difference in the diesel vs DEF. I know which one I feel in the wallet more.
