F650 Mods, Aftermarket, Etc...

Hey everybody.

I have been looking everywhere for mods, aftermarket parts, and ideas for an F650 I have. I have found AquaSun, but thats about it. And they don't offer how-to stuff. Anyone know of any other good info or sites on finding this kind of thing?

Thanks!

Thanks Furian, I will have to check them out. Except for the OC Diesel one, I saw the other two and they looked like the ones who just put your search term in their description and call it good. No actual model specific parts. You could find parts for a 1801 Grey Mare if you searched it!

The F550/F650 is a unique and expensive vehicle... not to many players in this market.

Actually I would think the F550 would be able to use most parts from the smaller SD's but Furian is right the 650 and 750 are mostly used by commercial owners thus very little aftermarket performance support or used by movie stars/rappers/etc that have the money to custom build everything needed for performance.

Thanks! Didn't see mention of 650/750 here, so I wasn't sure.

As for aftermarket and performance in the commercial sector, someone could really cash in on this area! We have 2 F650's, 2 F550's, and a Dodge 5500, all of which are great advertisement for our company, and the sharper and more custom they look, the better. I have found tuners and programmers for the 7.3's in the 550's, and even some visual mods, but absolutely nothing for F650's for the home mechanic who cant send a truck off to someone like AquaSun. About our only visual mod is a killer paint job.

And here is a funny thing, my F650, needs the F650 dash mod! My interior is the same as the F350's, and I would love to have the switch panel some guys are putting in their Super Dutys.

There's very few 'performance' items for the F650/750.
Performance Diesel Inc has a hot ECM for them, but is quite pricey(assuming you have a Cat 3126/C7). You gain big power, and when driving nice the mpg goes up. They can also put together a whole power package up to some insane numbers. Stay away from Great Lakes Diesel in Michigan for Cat engine work.

DOOD!

I wish I could put that kind of cash into the company truck! Never considered searching performance parts for the C7 instead of the F650.

I'm saving up my pennies!

Your limit is $$$$$. Marine injectors, honed injectors, twin turbos, kustom ECM......there's a lot you can do, just be careful with it being a work truck. It probably wouldnt like trying to make 700hp while pulling 50k pounds.

Truck max is 10k. Flatbed tow truck. Looks great, just a little lacking on the power sometimes. Especially living in the mountains of Colorado.
