F 600 FUEL PROBLEM
While loaded with 6 ton of gravel,my 68 F 600 with 330 2 bbl,near top of a long ,full throttle grade,began coughing and sputterring.Letting up on accelerator seemed to help.On next long grade,same thing but on level ground in between pulls it ran fine.Seemed to clear up alltogether before getting home.Does anyone think this sounds like trying to vapor lock?Or maybe bad fuel?Thanks for all help.

Sounds like the fuel pump not keeping up.
Vapor lock isn't going to go away when you lift the throttle.
Bad fuel isn't going to clear up when you lift the throttle.
Have you checked the fuel filter? A partially clogged filter could contribute to this methinks.
A fuel pressure test might be in order. 7 psi rings a bell for fuel pressure, but I'm not sure on that.

As original, corrogated paper cartridge fuel filter fits into a cannister that threads onto the fuel pump.
Peeps are unaware, install in-line fuel filter. And because they are unaware, cartridge fuel filter is getting more clogged up everyday because...it hasn't been changed...in how long?
