Bushings

I am replacing the leaf spring bushings in my rear springs. Should i go with rubber or poly? I replaced the front leaf spring bushings with poly about six years ago and they are holding up just fine. Any opinions or expereinces with either rubber or poly is appreciated. Thanks, FSD

My vote goes to poly, that's what I replaced mine with.

Poly. I like them because they don't squeak as much as the rubber ones I had earlier.

Usually poly is more likely to squeak than rubber. Rubber is softer and doesn't last as long. I would probably use poly, but make sure you grease them up with the supplied grease really good.

Yeah, if you don't grease them, they can be noisy. I wouldn't think anything bad would really happen if you didn't though, except for may a little wear on the sides of them.

I recommend using the manufacturers suggested grease, and plenty of it.

I always grease them. I vote for Poly too.

I had decided on poly, but they are not available for my truck. Rear leaf spring bushings 93 F450/Super Duty. Energy suspension has a front spring kit. Nothing for the rear. Looked on the Fab Build page and there was a ton of different sizes other than mine. Also checked about every other brand. I agree with the majority on poly. Looks like i have no choice other than OEM rubber. I am happy/lucky the OEM are available. If anyone has a part number for the polys in this application let me know. Thanks, for all of the input. FSD
