Ever since I got the 92 IDI, I've noticed it has a pretty stiff clutch pedal. I replaced the bushings on the clutch pedal pivot shaft when I first got the truck nearly a year ago. Recently I installed a heim joint on the pushrod to the master cyl. I am comparing the pedal effort to 2 7.3 PSD trucks of my fathers, both have noticeably lighter pedal effort. Maybe its just the way the idi's are, maybe the pressure plate is binding up somehow... any thoughts?
I`ve noticed that diaphram type pressure plates tend to "harden" with age and the pedal becomes stiffer, however I would not think yours would be a diaphram type. Maybe the throwout bearing carrier binding?

Could be carrier binding, It works fine and doesnt feel rough or anything, I'm mainly wondering if the PSD clutches were easier to push than the IDI's.
Same transmission so same throwout lever and bearing. I would wonder if they changed the diameter of the master cyl or slave cyl to lighten the pedal? Maybe check Rockauto.com and see.
