Cheap electric fan?
Hey guys i did some research and looked at alot of the kits avilable for the f150 electric fan conversion but my question is I have an ebay cheap 16inch fan that can do somewhere between 2800 to 3000 CFM and i was wondering if i could use that for the conversion or do i need to go with something else?

I only ask because I already have the 16inch fan here and dont really want to buy something if I dont have too. I bought it for a project i was going to do but im no longer doing it and i have extra parts ya know what i mean

You can wire it numerous ways. Just a switch, a switch with a thermostat in parallel, thermostat only or a newer style fan controller.
The fan controllers are better but expensive. The last one I got was a Flex-a-lite and it works good.

oh really? this is the first ive heard of that!!! i like the sounds of it ill do some searching but do you have any good links for that conversion?

This is the same type of fan I have sitting around. I just want to know if it will work or if i need to add another fan so i dont cook my motor. Mines rated for 2500 or 3000 CFM
