no fire no computer?

HAVE A 1991 FSB WITH 5.0 AND E4OD WITH NO FIRE REPLACED DIZZY WITH KOWN GOOD UNIT AND CHECKED POWER TO COIL GOT GOOD VOLTAGE OPENED ECM UP TO REVEAL LEAKINK CAPS MY ? IS WILL IT FIRE WITH NO ECM INSTALLED ANY HELP APPRECIATED THANKS LET ME NO ANY NEED INFO

I dont think so the ecm controls just about every thing

The system is EEC-IV (Engine/Emissions Control generation 4). The ECM IS the control for the entire system. In other words, no computer, no engine management, no engine operation.

If you are that far into the ECM, why not replace the caps?
