Reprogram after A/C removal?

1990 F150 inline-6, E4OD. Gutted the rotten (rusted out) A/C system components and wiring, but find 2 wires in/out to EEC. They are blk/yellow and purple (pins 10 and 43 respectively). Do these need removed and do I need to reprogram "computer"? And who/where can flash it? Any help is appreciated.

Ron

That's the AC clutch control. Whenever you're accelerating, the A/C pump is turned off so the engine has more power. You can't flash an EEC-IV computer, you can override it with a chip. No need to do anything with it.

Reprogram after A/C removal?

Thanks, Ken. Now let me see if I understand this correctly: 1) I DON'T need to do anything with the wiring to/from the EEC-IV computer after all the components are removed; and 2) the computer doesn't need to/can't be reprogrammed for "non-A/C". If the computer can't be programmed, what is the terminal connection on the end of the board? Thanks.

The computer cannot be reprogrammed. The only way to reprogram it is with a chip. The chip plugs into the service port on the computer, opposite from the wiring harness connector.
