I just called up there and they said all I had on the truck was a 3yr/36000 mile. Somehow I got my hpop replaced some time in 2010 and just had to pay for oil. I think it was 2010. May have been late 09. Anyways start date was 5/06.
Just sucks because I'm heading to college at the end of this month and it needs turbo work. May need an injector, FICM repair, studs and HGs because I see on the back of the block where the heads meet it's wet on both sides. May also need EGR work and oil cooler. Not that it's plugged, my spread is only 6-8* but it smokes a bunch at start up. It could be due to the leaking HGs so I may be wrong about the EGR...
I'd run like hell from that dealership. If the start date was 5/06 then the end date was 5/11 or 100K on the engine. Some trucks even had longer.
Yeah I went up there today and he called it the "diesel" warranty and ran out 5/11. May have just talked to a lazy rep yesterday. Doesn't matter though, warranty is still up...
And that has nothing to do with any of my problems I am having so it's pretty irrelevant
The emissions warranty covers a huge list that goes way beyond EGR and CAT. Like Mike said, the emissions warranty, depending on year model and state, can go beyond the standard engine warranty. I know the FICM, HFCM and probably the GPCM are covered under that at $0 deductible.

So are injectors and turbo. Emissions warranty is either 7/70 or 8/80. Forget which one. Our dealers are fairly lenient but they do check for mods when in this area.
See, that's why I come to this sight. Learn something new every day. I'll see if I can modify my old cat and see if I can get it to clamp into my 4" stainless exhaust and go to another dealer. This one really does not lead me to believe they ever want to do any work... not the first time I was wrong!
