Which one, there are two? One is in the tailshaft of the transmission and requires the end of the trans come off. The other gear is attached to the speedo cable and is easy to replace. There is a one bolt retainer that holds the cable into the rear of the trans, remove the bolt and pull the cable out of trans. The gear is attached to the cable with a clip that slides off the gear. Then the gear will slide right off the cable. Assemble in reverse order.
Why do you need to replace the gear? Is the speedo not working or not reading correctly?
