Question Part # for Six Disc Changer?

My buddy that is working on my Excursion is also fixing a 2002 F150 to sell. He says it is missing the 6 disc changer and he is certain that it is the same kind as I have in my console. I have my doubts because I thought they went to in-dash 6 disc changers in 2001.

At any rate, I am trying to find a 6 disc changer like the one that is in my Excursion for him...

(I am tempted to sell him mine, and just get an upgraded head unit)

Anyone have any idea what the part # is, or where to buy one on eBay or something?

It helps if I read the whole post...LOL

edit: the other way to find it is to look at http://car-part.com/ and look at your vehicle. Look at Radio/CD

Hope that helps.

6cd radio 4c7t-18c815-AA,

OEM part

The first number(4 in this case) is the year it was made. But it was the same radio all years for the 6 disk

That one is different that what I have, and by the time the auction is over.... it'll be too expensive, but thanks anyhow.

That's OK, do you know the part number for the separate auxiliary changer?

I typed this "part number" into FoMoCo's website, it's invalid. / Where did you get it from, off the unit itself?

If so, this is not a part number, it's the ID engineering number. There are no Ford part numbers marked on parts after 1956, just ID engineering or casting numbers, when applicable.

Keep discussions of selling items from one to another, especially discussion regarding price of items, out of the forum guys.
